2025 Studio Policies
(This is the important stuff, so please read carefully.)
The following policies will be reviewed during the consultation, however please be advised that by booking a tattoo appointment and placing a deposit, you are confirming you have reviewed these policies and agree to the following:
Age Requirements - as of September 2022, I am no longer permitted to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 - even with Parent Permission. This is due to a change in my Insurance Provider’s Policies and I apologize for any inconvenience.
Payment is due at the end of each session and before you leave the studio.
Deposits are required to book the tattoo appointment. These are non-refundable, but will come off your final price at the end. Currently the studio requires a $40 deposit for custom work and $10 deposit for flash pieces.
All new clients need to come in for a consultation prior to booking. There is no charge for the consult and it usually takes 20-30 minutes. For this appointment you will need to have a solid idea of what you’re looking for including multiple photos for reference, size, placement, location and black and/or colour.
I won’t copy anything directly from the internet. This one is important. Please make sure you do some digging and find more than one photo as I want to create something special just for you and will use your photos for inspiration! Also, there is copyright on ALL artwork - regardless of the medium. You must be ok with me putting my own spin on the design. I am always open to changes and your feedback, but I definitely can’t copy someone else’s work to tattoo you.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
There is a $250 charge for cancellations within 24hrs of the appointment. I get that life happens and things can change on a dime and I will always do whatever I can to accommodate and help you reschedule your appointment. However, my time is very important and if you cancel your appointment within 24hrs, thus not allowing me time to fill the appointment with someone else, I will send you a bill. Also, if you don’t show up, I will also send you a bill for $250.
Failure to show up for an appointment will also result in my decision to not work with you further. Or you will be required to put down deposits for every future appointment.
I reserve the right to feel safe and respected in my work environment and will not be bullied. Abuse of any kind, will not be tolerated. Verbal attacks, insults, rudeness, mistreatment, will also result in my not continuing to work with you. This is even if the tattoo is not finished. Please be kind and respectful.
DESIGN WORK POLICY:
I put my heart and soul into creating something unique and special for you, but please remember there is a process. The full policy will be reviewed during the consultation, but the quick run down:
You’ll receive a rough draft and then a detailed sketch - both in pencil. Both of which I will be looking for your feedback and in put. It’s important that you tell me what needs to be changed while everything is in pencil. Once things are sorted, we’ll put the permanent linework in so that it’s ready for the stencil process.
Please Note: There is copyright on my work. You are not allowed to take my designs to someone else, reproduce or replicate in any form.
Touch Ups:
Clients are permitted to one free touch up appointment within one year of receiving the tattoo (with some exceptions). There are NO free touch ups on finger/hand/foot tattoos and not on anything described as ‘watercolour’ affect. I will also not touch up your tattoo if you fail to follow the aftercare instructions (yes, I can tell…we can always tell), fading due to age, sun damage or injury to the area. Failure to show up for your touch up appointment will forfeit the free touch up.
